Slacker!

Okay, I have been slacking so much with keeping this blog updated! I keep using the excuse that I want to do a slideshow so I can fit more pictures on here and then can't find the time to figure it out. I know...lame! So, here are some pics from the past few weeks. I don't even know his exact age in them, eeek. I need to be better with that! lol. Okay...enjoy!!!

ok...I know, I know, I'm so behind on my blogging! Which, to be honest, is because I'm so busy being a mom =0). Does Inoke like to sleep? Yes he does! So you would think I would have plenty of time to get stuff done, but no...Inoke is already a picky baby and he knows where he likes to sleep...in the arms of mommy! I told Sai before he was born that I wished he would be a momma's boy and just adore his mom and Sai told me the other day that I guess I got my wish! Oh no!!! haha. I put Nox down to sleep once he dozes off, but he wakes himself up and can't fall back asleep on his own. I feel bad because he has been so stuffed up since birth and recently it's gotten a lot worse and, in addition to that, he caught my cough from last week! He's been a good sport about it overall, but the last 2 days have been just miserable for him. It's hard for him to breathe laying down and while eating. So last night we took him to the doctor's after he cried hysterically for an hour. Crazy enough, by the time we left the house he calmed down and was great the whole ride to the hospital and while we waited for the doctor. Of course that would happen! Anyway, the doctor checked him out and determined there wasn't much else we could do other then the things we are already doing; steam treatments in the bathroom, nose drops, and breathing a bit of Vics. They did, however, give him a breathing treatment to help open up his lungs and he just looooved it! It was so funny...when they covered his mouth and nose with the thing, he started moving his mouth like he was eating the air! It was so cute! And, thankfully, he was such a good boy during the treatments because before that he was a screaming wreck when the nurse and doctor checked him out, and even peed on the nurse when taking his temperature! haha.

He's Here!!!

Well, although this post is a little late, our little Baby Nox is here! He was born February 27, 2011 at 5:03am. He was 8lbs 4oz and 20 inches long.

It all started Saturday early morning when I woke up from some light contractions. I wasn't even sure if they were the real thing so I just went back to sleep. I then woke back up at 5:30am on Saturday to use the bathroom and couldn't fall back asleep because I kept having contractions. They didn't hurt, but I was having them every 7 minutes or so and I was concerned. But again, I wasn't sure if they were real contractions or Bradson Hicks. So after I took a nap later that morning, Sai and I decided to hit the gym in the afternoon. I figured, if anything, it would speed up the process...and so it did! We went to the gym around 3pm and I just walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then sat down and read while Sai finished his workout. Then it happend...the contractions were coming on stronger! They still didn't hurt, but it was very uncomfortable. We got home and I took a shower and all and around 5:30pm I started to keep track of the contractions. They were coming every 7 minutes again and then every 5 minutes. We decided to take a walk outside around 8:30pm and by the time we were 1/2 way around the block the contractions were coming every 3 minutes! I could barely make it back to the house without stopping and holding tight of Sai. So when we got back in the house we called the doctor and they told us to come on in. We packed up and we were on our way!

In the car was the 1st time I felt a painful contraction! It wasn't pleasant, but still not terribly painful. Once we got to the hospital, around 10pm, they measured me at 2cm. They asked if I wanted to walk for an hour or relax in the tub. I opted for the tub for an hour, along with some pain killers...which, by the way, didn't help!!! When I was in the tub, which ended up making me sooo hot, the contractions were coming on strong! They were getting so painful! When the nurse came in, I told her I wanted to get out and she told me in 10 minutes. That was annoying, but what could I do. So when she came in again, I got out. We went back to the room and I could hardley stand the pain. Every time I had a strong contraction the nurse was in my face, trying to help me breathe..."Ooooooo". I was getting annoyed and just wanted the epideral already! I kept asking her when the doctor would be in. She finally came!!!

The epideral didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I was just glad to think that I wouldn't have the pain of the contractions anymore. And when it kicked in, boy was I thankful!!! As was Sai...he said I was so annoying when my contractions came...telling him to open the window, then to close it minutes later. Then telling him to come and rub my back or hold my hand and then telling him to stop touching me! He was so tired and getting tired of me too! haha! But I was glad when the epideral kicked in because all was good after that! Sai got sleep, and so did I. I slept off and on for 3 hours and then the nurse told me to go and see if I could empty out my bladder before they measured me again. So we went to the bathroom, and nothing! I was mad because that meant they were going to put a cathidator (?) in me. So I went to wipe...and I felt something. I told the nurse and she told me it was the head and we needed to get back to the room right away! I couldn't be any happier!!! I was afraid I was only going to be 7cm!!! So we went to the room and the doctor came in and I was to push right away. Less then 10 minutes later, he was out!!! Whuhuu!!! Another 5 minutes to get everything else out...but it was done! I was sooo happy!

They wiped him off and layed him on me and Sai said he looked like a baby Ta (like what his dad would have looked like as a baby). He was so cute and so calm. He just laid there, happy as could be. I was so happy that the labor wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! And we are SOOOO glad that he's here!!!

He's Almost Here!!!

Well, let's hope he's almost here! I have 5 days to go, and at the most 15 days...eeek! Everyone pray he comes on time tho because Sai has a training in the UK March 7-11 and I just can't do this whole birthing thing on my own!!! But he will talk to his boss this Friday to let him know the situation. The military supposively understands so I'm hoping there's not problem, but still...this baby needs to come so I don't have to stress about it!!!

Not much new...

Well, I had another appointment and they said that I'm measuring "spot on"! So I guess that's good...until they told me that the baby is weighing in at 7lb12oz...eeek!!! And that was as of Thursday, so I don't want to think about how big he is going to be. I also have not dialated AT ALL...so I'm thinking he's not coming any time early. Oh well.

37 Weeks, 2 Days...19 days left!!!

Baby Nox is coming...to town! Well, he's not coming right NOW!!! But he is on his way. I had my midwife appointment yesterday, which doesn't really mean much except that my blood pressure is good, the baby's heart beat is strong and I'm the right size for my time. I'm down to 19 days left and I'm still just hoping he doesn't decide to come late! We have the birthing class all day on Friday and I think I'm ready any time after that! =) So here are some updated pictures...I'm not sure if there's that much of a change...but here they are nonetheless. We also had the crib delivered on Monday...so that's the last big thing that we needed!

Date Night!

Well, I'm sure you can tell from the pictures that there's not really many places to go out to out here! We went bowling again with some friends and played some pool and then we went out to Pizza Hut!!! Yuuum, yuuuuum!!! I have been waiting so long to go there, but now that I know how expensive it is...I'm good for a while. A looooong while!!! And it didn't help having me think I can eat more then I really can. I was already good after I ate one of the quesadillas we ordered as the appetizer! lol! That's so sad!

Tick, tick, toc...

Well...I had another doctor's appointment today and it went well. My blood pressure is good, I didn't get sick this time when I had to lay there for 25 minutes while they monitored the baby's heart beat and the doctor said the baby's size is less then average! She said it measured smaller then it did a week and a half ago...go figure. There's the wonderful high tech machines they have!!! haha! So unreliable! She said the baby's weight is 5lbs 9oz. So with 3 weeks and 4 days to go, let's hope he doesn't gain more then the 1/2lbs a week! I think I can handle a 7lbs baby! =) I also had a tour of the hospital yesterday and it was pretty uneventful. The labor room has a really weird shaped bed. It has a rectangle shape where your head goes (or above), the middle part of the bed is a big circle and then there's another big wide rectangle where your legs go. It also had a rope with 2 knots hanging from the ceiling...hmmm...? The bed thing doesn't look to comfy, so let's hope I'm not in there long!!! After, you're put in a room where most likely I will be sharing (blah) with someone else if the maternity ward is full! Grr...but if Sai wants to stay the night I can get a private room if we pay $50/night. So we'll see about that. The Germans have to stay in the hospital for a minimum of 3 days as health care requires, but British military patients can leave when they feel like it since the midwife will visit the house every day for 10-14 days after the birth. Well..just 25 days to go till my due date!!! =0)

Baby Ticker

Well, well...can you believe I only have 33 days left!!! And today is basically over for me so really, it's like 32 days! lol! I've been feeling a little faint/weak a couple hours during the day so I had them check my iron level which is 11.7 and good! Today I had a glucose test (which I thought they were supposed to take around 28 weeks and didn't) so I should be getting the results next week if I have diabetes. Just wanna be safe then sorry. I have changed my diet around a bit so hopefully that will help as well. We shall see soon enough!

Oh...and I'm realizing my blog is totally lame compared to Amy's and Kim's, especially with all of their updates and pictures! I'm going to find something else I can blog about so I can add more pics on here! lol!
