Happy Easter Sisters!

Inoke's 1st basket

My little Easter creation

Sai's first time coloring eggs
Inoke's 1st Easter! Daddy colored eggs for the first time ever! There was no egg hunt, but we got some things from the American store for the sisters and had them over for dinner on Saturday night and had baskets for them.
After church we went out for a walk and ended up at the park where the firemen had a HUGE bonfire prepared to burn of all of the dry shrubury in a field next to the park. It was about 30' wide and 20' high! We watched it burn and then there was a marching band that came and performed! All of the people in the area rode their bikes over to watch. I was so sad I didn't bring the camera!!!

Spring Break!

So Sai has 2 weeks off for Spring Break, which we are just looooooooooooooooving! Last Friday we went to the park for a picnic with some other families! Enjoy!

American Boy!!!

So on Tuesday, April 19th, we headed down to Frankfurt to go to the US Embassy to register Inoke as a US Citizen, get his passport and apply for his SSN. We were so afraid he wouldn't do good in the car for the 3 hour drive, but on the contrary, he did great! He slept the whole way there!!! We got all of his paperwork done even though we only had enough money try once for his passport picture, and even though we ended up with a picture of him in the bottom left hand corner with his hands up, mouth open and eyes closed because he was crying, amazingly, they accepted the picture! We're pretty sure that was due to Sai's faith because I was sure they wouldn't accept it!

After we left there we went to the cheap little bed n breakfast that we booked where our room was as small as the one I grew up in, but we were ok with that. We also had a communial bathroom, but it wasn't even bad. We saw a carnival on the way to our b&b so after we checked in we went to the carnival and walked around. When we were done there we went back to the area of our b&b and walked around there where we found KFC...just where Sai wanted to ear! lol. After thar, we called it a night!

The next day we went to the American camp to do some shopping. We got plenty of American comfort food and our cupboard is full! I even ate some good ol Taco Bell for lunch! Yummy.

These are a few of my favorite things...

Today, Sunday April 17, 2001, Inoke is 7 weeks! Wahuu!!! He measured in as follows:

Weight: 12lbs

Height: 23 inches

Head Cir: 38.5 cm

We're so glad that Baby Nox is growing up! He sleeps way better these days, despite how sick he has been. He likes:

  • TO EAT!!!

  • Cuddling with mommy and daddy

  • Having his diaper changed

  • Kicking his feet

  • Swinging his arms around

  • Going for walks

  • Listening to mommy read and sing to him

  • To SMILE!!!

He just started to smile about a week ago. He like when we shake his little body while holding his arms and tickling his body and cheeks!

Here are some pictures of us out last week and of his new smiling face!

Slacker!

Okay, I have been slacking so much with keeping this blog updated! I keep using the excuse that I want to do a slideshow so I can fit more pictures on here and then can't find the time to figure it out. I know...lame! So, here are some pics from the past few weeks. I don't even know his exact age in them, eeek. I need to be better with that! lol. Okay...enjoy!!!

ok...I know, I know, I'm so behind on my blogging! Which, to be honest, is because I'm so busy being a mom =0). Does Inoke like to sleep? Yes he does! So you would think I would have plenty of time to get stuff done, but no...Inoke is already a picky baby and he knows where he likes to sleep...in the arms of mommy! I told Sai before he was born that I wished he would be a momma's boy and just adore his mom and Sai told me the other day that I guess I got my wish! Oh no!!! haha. I put Nox down to sleep once he dozes off, but he wakes himself up and can't fall back asleep on his own. I feel bad because he has been so stuffed up since birth and recently it's gotten a lot worse and, in addition to that, he caught my cough from last week! He's been a good sport about it overall, but the last 2 days have been just miserable for him. It's hard for him to breathe laying down and while eating. So last night we took him to the doctor's after he cried hysterically for an hour. Crazy enough, by the time we left the house he calmed down and was great the whole ride to the hospital and while we waited for the doctor. Of course that would happen! Anyway, the doctor checked him out and determined there wasn't much else we could do other then the things we are already doing; steam treatments in the bathroom, nose drops, and breathing a bit of Vics. They did, however, give him a breathing treatment to help open up his lungs and he just looooved it! It was so funny...when they covered his mouth and nose with the thing, he started moving his mouth like he was eating the air! It was so cute! And, thankfully, he was such a good boy during the treatments because before that he was a screaming wreck when the nurse and doctor checked him out, and even peed on the nurse when taking his temperature! haha.
